What is XAT Exam?
Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT is an online computer based entrance exam which grants the eligible candidates admission for MBA courses offered by XLRI Jamshedpur, XIMB Bhubaneswar, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI etc along with other 160+ management institutes in the country. The exam is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur, which is the same league as that of the top IIMs of the country, in association with XAMI (Xavier Association of Management Institutes). It is the one of the most widely attempted entrance exams after CAT exam with more than 100000+ students enrolling each year.

XAT 2023 Exam Pattern
While the notification has been released, the XAT 2023 exam pattern has not been included in it apart from the duration of the test (3 hours) and thus XAT 2023 exam is expected to be held along the same lines as XAT 2022 exam. XAT 2023 Eligibility
The XAT 2023 exam has a fairly simple eligibility criteria and is expected to remain the same as last year. The eligibility criteria is expected to be as follows:
- Any candidate wishing to gain admission through the XAT 2023 exam has to have a graduation degree (duration of 3 years or more) from a recognized Institute.
- There is no minimum percentage that candidates need to achieve in order to qualify for the XAT 2023 exam unlike other entrance exams. The only criterion for the XAT 2023 exam is that the candidate should pass their undergraduate exam.
- NRI students can apply through GMAT.
Apart from this, there are not too many eligibility criteria that one has to follow. There are no restrictions expected in terms of the work experience in XLRI or other colleges associated and will be confirmed by the notification.
XAT 2023 Application Fee
As per the official website, the XAT application fee is Rs 2,000 which can be paid by using a credit or debit card/net banking. It should be noted that there is no relaxation in the XAT form fee for the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
Before filing the XAT 2023 registration form, candidates should check the XAT eligibility criteria. Those candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline or are in the final year are eligible to apply for XAT 2023.
XAT Exam Cutoff
The cutoff for XAT 2023 exam will be released by XLRI Jamshedpur for each program tentatively in the month of February 2023. Candidates who meet the cutoff prescribed by the institute will have to appear for the further round of selection procedures which include group discussion, personal interview and written ability test rounds.
