What is SBI Clerk Exam?
Every year State Bank of India (SBI) invites applications to recruit candidates for the position of Probationary Officer (PO) and Clerk. The SBI PO and Clerk National Level Written Exam takes place in two phases: Prelims and Mains. All the candidates who qualify the preliminary examination get shortlisted and become eligible to appear for the Main examination.

SBI Exam 2023 Exam Notification and Overview
The notification for SBI Exam 2023 is yet to be released. Generally it contains the details of the number of vacancies in different offices in India along with the distribution for different categories.

SBI Clerk Paper Pattern
Phase-1: SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination (online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:
- Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.
- There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- No minimum qualifying marks for the individual subjects as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed.
- The adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies. subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.

Phase-2: SBI PO Mains Examination
- Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.
- The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon).
- Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank.
- No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects are prescribed.
- Merit list will be drawn State wise, category wise.
- Candidates qualified in the test (main examination) will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories.

SBI Clerk 2022 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of the SBI Clerk 2022 exam is mainly about two pre-requisites:
SBI Clerk Educational Qualifications
He/she must hold a valid graduation degree (UG) in any discipline from a recognized university (As on 1.11.2022).
SBI Clerk Age Limit
The candidate’s age should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years (As on 1.08.2022). The candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2002 (both days inclusive).
